4.5 Frequency

4.5 Frequency

As a measure of periodic oscillation, FREQUENCY suggests that we tune in into the relative rates of change surrounding architecture. Architectural materials, effects, and concepts all have a duration. To practice with frequency is to act as a receiver of cultural signals, and to look for ways to resonate or interfere with prevailing trends. Whether through an emphasis on duration, impermanence, or programmatic flexibility, the work collected here tests architecture's performance as a time-based medium.
